This is my fear as well. They rip us on a deep pass like Q did to FSU. Of course, that would mean the defense wasn't out on the field for 15 minutes trying to stop the run, so it might not be the worst thing to happen. To me the worst start is Taylor running it down our throats on a 12 play, 75 yard drive, eating up 7 minutes of game time, where they essentially are pickup up 6 yards every carry and we can't stop them. 

Because of this, I say you break with conventional wisdom and you put your offense on the field first. It gives you a chance to make a special teams play or score quickly, setting the tone for the defense. The flip side to that is, if you go 3 and out, and Wisconsin gets the ball around midfield, you have put your defense on their heels out of the gate. It's a tough call. Knowing CCS, he probably defers.

Yeah, planned to go but tweaked my back working around the house.  That will teach an old fat man to stay away from manual labor.

As long as your wife is good with you being Bi I don't see the problem.

I’d be shocked if he didn’t defer.  It’s in his DNA to be conservative and stick to conventional wisdom

Deferring puts your defense on first.  I don't think anyone actually chooses defense.

About the only kind of penalty we didn't commit on a regular basis last year. Hope that's been cleaned up.
