What we have lost as a fan base

I would be shocked if that happens. Cincy and Memphis will get their share of Pee 5 wins and I suppose ucf too. If we don’t beat Tech I don’t think we win the East division.

Truth be told we don’t have a strong conference. We have to win our division AND win those splashy OOC games to get bits in the seats.

I'm not saying I'd prefer 1-3 OOC, but if we went 1-3 OOC and won the conference (which unless bizarro strikes, we'd have to go 7-1 or 8-0 most likely), and then win the champ game. We'd get the division and conference wins, get that conference trophy, and if we're jumped by a MWC team and don't get a flashy bowl, oh well. In the end, no one is going to remember our conference being "down", they will see USF won the AAC. I still think if we go 7-1 and win the division and conference, we can easily go 2-2 OOC and adding the championship game, puts us at 10-3 overall before bowls. I'd be fine with that. At this point, I don't care if we somehow manage 9-4, let's win this conference and shut up some of the naysayers. at least START there. The OOC wins are great, but look where it's gotten us.

Who exactly do you think is going to look back to see who won the AAC? There are roughly 20 people on the internet that care about and discuss AAC championship wins in real life no one is discussing it and you can simply tell anyone you like that USF has won the AAC every year it’s been in existence, the only thing they will question you on is what’s the AAC.
