and we haven't talked about Publix subs in a day or two, here is a link https://www.tampabay.com/florida/2019/06/11/was-the-publix-chicken-tender-sub-invented-by-three-hungry-florida-men/ to the origin of the chicken tender sub.  Hopefully this will keep some of you away from the uniform thread.

10 years ago, at the peak of USF Football, the WaWa crowd would have been all over this like the Tinmen on stadium talk.

Publix deli meat sub > Publix chicken tender sub > anything Wawa puts out

I can end up with a good chicken tender sub once it's drowning in a sauce. Before that, it isn't a very enjoyable experience. I default to an Ultimate or Italian for the improved flavor.

I've had sandwiches from Wawa a few times and think I'm missing something. Is there a secret menu that y'all order off of to get a good sandwich?

Publix chicken tenders are just awesome which is what makes the sub. I have never tried a chicken tender sub anywhere else.

The hoagies from WaWa down here don't seem to be quite as good as up north.  I'm guessing the rolls that they use here are not the same. Publix has the best bread going which is what makes theirs better than most others.  5 grain Italian - mmmmmmm, mmmmmmm good.

When I lived VA, there was a pretty good WaWa/Sheets rivalry going and people picked sides.

Publix is to grocery stores and subs as the AAC is to football conferences, sure you are P6 which means you you are better than Food Lion, Winn Dixie, Walmart and Subway but is that really that impressive and what you want to hang your hat on? There is not a single thing Publix does exceptionally it’s the basic ***** of grocery and its only glorified here because every other option was horrid and people connected them to a pleasurable experience from their commercials and nostalgia. Publix could do better but they don’t because they haven’t had to and no one here requires anything from them.
