Not shocked at the outcome.  We’ve been getting by on grit and character against really bad competition.  This is the first real team we’ve faced this year and we got totally exposed.  Hopefully we win 2 of the last 4.

These players were probably pushed harder and coached better in HS than what they are getting from Gilbert and Jean-Mary.   Don’t think that they don’t see what we do. Most of them have been playing since they were 6-8 years old. They know what a good coach looks like.

Sure they were. That's why the guy coaching them in high school makes $45k a year teaching P.E. and health to go with his $2k stipend for the high school coaching gig. He must just love the kids and want to make a difference in today's youth.

I get the anger. I get the overreaction. But you sound like a ******* asshat when you say things like their high school coach was better.

This is

A. A pile of dog crap

B. How we feel about that game

C. What we think of the coaching staff

D. Something some of our fellow posters (poosters?) are rolling around in over this game and will continue to do so for as long as they can

E. ALL OF THE ABOVE

not the end of the world-- just a game. I'm moving on- but please, you do you.

This team seems to lack leaders on both offense and defense...I see them breaking. Really hope I’m wrong.

I kind of feel the same way

Great! You do you and don't forget that that picture is this team with this staff.

IMO the majority of the players don’t look like they respect, or want to play for these coaches.

Watch the sidelines. Notice the body language.

No eye contact, looking down. No enthusiasm. The players don’t seem to buy into the program.

Watch the benches during the next home game. You will see the same.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
