Who knows with them.

In fact, we were almost in the same conference at TCU twice! We were in the same conference as TCU at one time and it was not the BIg East. I would think ESPN's sole interest is to create ratings. So they are probably not interested in seeing this UMass 1 and 1 nonsense continue. It devalues a property they already have. No one wants to put that on TV. I would think they would want to create interesting matchups that mostly benefit them. So could they get USF v ND in a 1 and 1 where USF is the home team at a neutral site, say Dublin? Or a 1 and 1 with Boise State or San Diego State. There may be an interest in those games. Maybe more games with ACC teams. They would have an interest in BYU's schedule being better especially in October and November.

Does anyone remember why we won?

We had quite a few OT victories in that era. It's been so long, I get the memories all mixed up.

I'm not sure if an FCS game comes close to paying for itself?
