You probably think SP wins decide the Cy Young and Dan Marino isn’t a good QB

Okay, let's add 6-0 to 33rd in points per game and 14th in yards per game

I hope he takes over as OC soon. And frankly I think he’s Strong’s successor. He’s committed to this program.

King is going to get a shot somewhere. He went undefeated as a QB at Tulane, almost took the Bucs to a Super Bowl, and is from St. Pete. He’s been coaching at the collegiate level for several years now, under Taggart and Strong. I agree that we are unlikely to fire Gilbert, but if he ever leaves for greener pastures, I would like King to get serious consideration as an OC and possibly HC for USF down the road.

I know everyone is saying King but we don’t even know what is offensive philosophy is? And how much influence does Charlie wield on the offense he wants to run? I think Charlie likes this low risk high reward offense.  Minimize turn overs. That is what I keep hearing from Charlie.

Shaun King will be the head coach by 2027 and Auggie Sanchez will be our DC.

I would rather take 10 + wins with a proven product of Strong then two complete unknown and proven track records of being good coaches.

Im banking on CCS retiring by 2027. Nine years from now i think shaun king and auggie sanchez (currently on Taggarts staff at FSU) WILL be plenty qualified and established by then.

His quarterback coach was Rich Rodriguez and his head coach was Tommy Bowden. The style of offense that King ran at Tulane under Bowden was the Spread offense which is now a very popular style in NCAA football.  His coaching experience...

2006    Gibbs HS    Asst. Head Coach/Offense
2008    Gibbs HS    Quarterbacks
2015    Big County Preps    Quarterbacks
2015-16    Team Tampa 7-on-7    Asst. Head Coach/Offense
2016    USF    Quarterbacks
2017-pres    USF    Running Backs
