This is ridiculous.  We don’t need an OCS.  It would be a complete waste of money.  We’re extremely lucky to be playing in a rented 2/3 empty NFL stadium with a pirate ship.  Oh, I forgot to mention that they’ve played an NCAA Chapionship game and Super Bowls on our home field.  How great is that?!?!  I mean seriously, what major college football program wouldn’t want to trade places with us.  You OCS guys are just absurd.

We were probably the last going to the Big East (I'm assuming BCS auto bid = P5).

I didn't really  think to include BE because of its quick dissolution and existence before 'P5'

I wasn't sure, that's why I asked. If you weren't considering the BE a P5 type conference, the answer to your question, "Is there a (somewhat) recent example of a team graduating to P5 status that didn't already have a stadium?" is pretty obvious ...
