He’s experienced, but other than a few good seasons at Louisville he hasn’t done much as a head coach.

look closely what he did at UofL with Teddy Bridgewater no less. 2011 3 way split for conference title. lost games to FIU and Marshall. 2012 split for conference title lost to UConn and Syracuse. Look at the scores of most of his games. way closer then they should have been. that guy's entire reputation was built on 1 season where he beat UF in Sugar Bowl. smoke and mirrors.

Didn’t say he had great seasons at UL, but they were pretty good. He definitely could have done better with the talent they had, just like he could be doing now.

Never a fan of any coach that has a top 10 team that loses to ucf.  That should have been the first thing our administration thought of when CCS was being considered.

That's why I don't believe he's going anywhere anytime soon.  A good AD will see his record for what it is.

Hey at least he can recruit.  Zooker 2.0

Then we just grab an Urban Meyer, get some arrests and an NC.

I'm glad you said this.  I've thought the same thing for a while now.  It never looked like he really wanted to be here.

The offense is fine. We really miss Adams and Mack, which played a major role in how we moved the ball.

The play calling is abhorrent.  When you're playing the best DT in the country your rushing statline shouldn't be 55 for 2.5ypc.

So, if QF threw it well...but only by his standards...and it wasn't good enough to beat a team who was stopping our running game, do you have doubts about him being the guy at QB for us? We will certainly run into this problem again, and Gilbert won't be changing anything.

Yes and no.  Lots of people on here mad at me because I have had these doubts for four years.  No doubt that QF has explosive ability to run the ball.  So the issue can be minimized by carefully controlling the types of passes he throws and tailoring the offense to maximize the things he does well.  I actually think they have done that this year by having him throw downfield more often.  But somehow you need to get the short and intermediate stuff worked in.   CWT solved that by a heavy use of WR screens.

But the issue won't ever go away.  Obviously everyone has a weakness.  Some QBs can throw darts but can't move around to save their life.  So ultimately it is pick your poison.

But will we have this problem again?  Probably.  Will it cost us games?  Who knows.
