QF did not throw it pretty well.  I mean, for him he did.  But he missed open receivers all over the field.  Let's be real.  Houston managed to keep him in the pocket for the most and dared him to win the game in the air.  And he was unable to.

23-38 for 325, 60% completion percentage isn't bad. There were far bigger contributing factors to this loss than Q. It still came down to Houston basically coming up with a miracle 4th & 24 conversion. Q did his part. Houston got lucky.

Game should have never come down to that. They did get lucky

It isn't bad if you are under a lot of pressure and your receivers are not getting open.   We had wide open receivers all day long, and the ball sailed over their heads.  Q did not do his part, unless you think QBs should not be responsible for throwing passes.  We should just run the option if that is the goal.

They beat us.  They slowed down our running game and dared QF to throw the ball.  Their Soph QB came to play.  He ran the ball better than QF and guess what?  He also threw the ball better than QF.  Truth hurts.  They beat us, that wasn't luck.

That 4th and 24 wasn’t luck? They definitely out coached us...but that last drive was luck

I guess we'll agree to disagree on this one. He did misfire on a few occasions, but that was one of his better passing games (not saying a whole lot there, I know), and he did not turn it over. The coaching staff was more responsible for this, particularly the time management on that last drive. There are a few factors that could be pointed to for this loss, but QF isn't one of them.....or at least not a significant factor, in IMO.

They had our east west running on lock.  Some throws were missed but it is not why we lost.  I had a bad feeling when we were playing for a field goal at the end.  It's one of those football karma things.

Would love to know how many of his throws where over the middle.  It's like that part of the field doesn't exist for our passing game.

Luck or not, the "L" is indisputable. Just curious, if, say, UCF is shutting down our running game, and Q is playing like he played tonight, what's the solution?
