Unless we plan on playing night games 90% of the time, where is the shade?

Soon as I saw the concept the FAIL alarm went off for this very reason. Serious rainstorms and serious heat and there is nothing to alleviate either.

It's a complete non-starter for me without something to cover the fans.

That and the seating looks really far from field.

For just a placeholder image, there sure is a lot of b!tching. As it has been mentioned numerous times, this is not finalized design. It is a placeholder to show the rough size of the stadium in the various possible locations.

I imagine there's going to be enough shade thrown at us by UCiF fans to cover us the entire season.

Not sure why there are grumblings on the price tag. This falls between the costs of the two stadiums I see cited on this board as examples that USF should follow: Louisville ($200m) and Minnesota ($300m).

Not overkill IMO; this is what a decent stadium costs. You go cheaper, you end up with the bounce house. At that point, why bother.

Grumbling?  Wait until they get their new season tickets and athletics fees costs.

You mean it's just like the stadium we currently play in?!?

the space between the stands and field kinda reminds me of Duke's stadium
