I can't see us going with Bartow unless no one else wants the job. My guess is Harlan is waiting until after the final four to see if any big name coaches do become available and if they would want the USF job. I did hear the Donovan has been looking to go back into college so we could at least see if he would be interested. Can't hurt to ask just don't know if we could afford him

Here's a little secret... Donovan is NEVER coming to USF.

Should we all pretend USF has a chance with Donovan so no one's feelings get hurt on here?

Of course not. Atlantis has a better chance of being real than that happening but you don't have to get all hurdy gurdy, man ...

How about a young and successful Florida HS coach who was a star at USF...REGGIE KOHN?

He would bring excitement and a boatload of Florida talent.

Why not?

Say, how are we looking with scholarships and returning players for next season?

We really need a high-energy coaching staff who will sell the program.

McCall, Dooley, and Driscoll are all names that interest me.  There's been chatter about Richard Pitino but I don't think it's legit, we could compete with his current pay at Minnesota, or see why he would take what is seen as a step down to a program in chaos.

Either would be a good hirer for USF.

If we don't lose anybody, have 3 scholarships available for next year ....... with nary a commit in sight.

Johnny Jones was fired at LSU. No Florida connections but has been all over the South. He had one losing season in the SEC and coached under Dale Brown.

ugh...hire Mike Davis at Texas Southern before you hire Johnny Jones (former Memphis interim coach)
