None of the serious candidates mentioned so far can, that's for sure .... heck, I'm not even sure what would qualify as fan base "energy" at this point.

Here's how USF needs to qualify any coaching candidate:

Warmer questions:

(1) What are your offensive and defensive philosophies?

(2) How do plan to recruit and elevate the team's talent?

 

And then this is THE question that will make or break the interview!

(3) Do you dabble in black magic? --You know, voodoo and the like.

Correct answer: Absolutely! I'm all into that stuff. I'll get rid of that curse --Done!

Bad answer: Are you for real? What kind of question is this?

We just need a good coach who desperately wants to live in Florida regardless of the situation and has good recruiting ties. Is that too much to ask for?  :(

Interesting to see the path of our previous targets. Dave Rice resigned from UNLV and is on Eric Musselman's staff at Nevada. Steve Masiello went on a rant about this generation being fraudulent and Manhattan is 10-22 and second to last place in the MAAC.

sounds like Joe Dooley at FGCU...

problem is NC State, Missouri and LSU are big jobs that may grab up a lot of available talent like Dooley.
