So what's our grade right now for the coaching hires for football?

So far, they're undefeated and haven't lost a single recruiting battle.

Kinnan's profile still up on gousfbulls.com.  Have we heard anything on him?  Considering his long tenure as HS coach,  I imagine he has a relationship with Strong.

Thanks.  Kinnan was very instrumental in the transformation of the offense.  Sorry to see him go.

Yea would have liked him to stick around but it makes sense. I would guess the only real reason he ever ended up here was the CWT connection. Good luck to him in whatever he chooses; be it retirement or continuing with football in some capacity somewhere else.

I'm kind of dumbfounded about why Strong would retain only one person from a great offense! I would have at least liked to see Weist and Kinnan stay. I hope Strong is not throwing last year's offensive success out the window. On the bright side, Gilbert is from the Briles tree and should still be fun to watch..

You assume it's all Strong's doing. Maybe Weist is, but Kinnan doesn't owe USF or Strong anything and he's 127 years old.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
