If it does not have two large overhangs for shade it will be a fail.

Or have the potential for a retractable roof

We need an OCS. It will get alum back on campus and start real tradition, as opposed to the sea of red at Ray Jay. I live on the other side of FL, if I decide to go to a USF game, I don't even catch a whiff of the campus. I know i'd go to more games if it were on campus.

This is exactly right! I've said the same thing on another thread. I have to believe the powers that be understand the importance of this. If this program wants real tradition and support the stadium must be on campus.

As for the stadiums on this thread...my vote is to emulate TCU.

Did anyone watch the SMU game?  Did you notice all the people at the game?  There were plenty outside the stadium with their great tailgate set up.  People didn't go in the stadium after tailgating.  I just don't see how an OCS helps our attendance issues. Some people want to drink and then go to a football game.  Seems like there were more at SMU that wanted to drink and then continue drinking outside the football stadium.

OCS isn't just an attendance issue. It's really a school independence program growth issue.

The only drawback, Raymond James is so nice, we won't get to play there anymore.

Maybe this man has been fundraising all along for one common goal. No need to announce if you don't have to.

I know highly unlikely, but...hey you never know.

I don't think you start a feasibility study unless you think you can afford it or know you can get the backing quickly.

I agree.

If you can fund raise for a new library or pod of classrooms, you can def get donors to go for a new stadium that would be a revenue generator.

Just do it right and not like those other people across the way.

Come on guys, we don't "need" shade. It's not a deal breaker. We "need" to stop scheduling noon games.

ESPN and CBS chooses the time, not us.

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
