I know everyone has their thoughts but if CWT wanted to stay here why hasn't he come out & said so & put all this to rest?   All I saw was the previous quote from JK stating CWT said he has heard nothing yet.  Obviously the man is being driven by money alone. There are those coaches that are few and far between that look  past just money IMHO.

I will coach the team for free if asked.

I would say the average coach is looking for national success, and financial stability, in that order.

Half the P5 schools provide both of those things in greater abundance, and all of them provide at least one of them.

The table is set for CWT next year, which would make him an even more marketable commodity when some other Money 5 program is looking for a replacement.

If it were me, I would come out and say I'm staying and put this to rest.

Would you prefer he leaves now or next year?  I would prefer he left now if he was definitely leaving.

If he is staying and using this offer to get more money, more power to him.

I was feeling good the longer this drug out but with Rhule going to Baylor the more I think about I think we may be the next school looking for a HC. Hope I'm wrong but if I'm right Harlan better have someone ready to be announced by tomorrow. The winter dead period is closing in fast and if we go into it coachless we will lose some big recruits.

Not to mention Cincy is shopping for a coach.  Could be three AAC schools looking for a coach before bowl season starts.

Did he ever tell them that he would stay with them?

If this makes you feel better about #BayMade, go crazy. But I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and believe you don't actually think CWT runs a Twitter recruiting campaign based entirely on how import it is to stay home, tags BM on players on the official roster, and then goes into kids' homes and tells them he doesn't plan on sticking around.

And you're not really expecting this, are you?  I don't think ADs operate that way.  Now, they should have a list of names to consider, and maybe have done some preliminary feeling out of potential coaches, but no one is going to announce a new coach a day after the current one resigns for another job.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."

Last I checked the scoreboard doesn't have a spot for current bank balance on it.
