Are we paying for going cheap on replacing DC Allen?

How much cheaper can we get?  Tom Allen only made $350 K last year.  He was listed as the 199th highest paid assistant coach on a list that USA Today published.  Surprisingly UCF had a guy making over a million and was in the Top 10 for 2015

Everything about the defense was bad.  The scheme (should have been a 4-3 for this game), the assignments (out of position, no backside contain), the pass coverage (zone defense doesn't mean you stand in one spot, it means you cover the receiver in your zone), and the tackling all were terrible.

QF should be a team player and move over to DB, so CWT will be forced to allow AW and Kean to spark the offense

From what I've noticed, we're very weak at DE. The ends we had last year were **** good and the guys this year just aren't performing at a high level. 2 weeks in a row our DE's have gotten rocked by opposing OT's. Would be one thing for FSU to do this but they looked like garbage against Cuse as well and weren't able to generate any kind of pressure without blitzing.

DE play was not that terrible vs Cuse, they were doing quick passes not even Selvie could reach qb that fast.

DE is young area, hopefully later in season it gets better with playing time

We'll find out when we get into conference play. One thing I'd note about Saturday and it's just my observation, but it didn't look like our D was ever playing with their heads down. Their performance in the 4th Q was actually better in the 4th Q than the 1st, so they still fought to the end. That's very encouraging.
