He's been great for USF no doubt. I just don't see him as a first choice for schools like UT, Stanford, UConn, Maryland or Baylor if they had a coaching defection/retirement/change. Coach Eriksen has gotten that type of interest when the powerhouses have needed a head coach. Hopefully we keep winning in women's hoops and he flies under the radar of bigger programs.

This year is unusual in the number of schools looking for coaches though. In some ways SC is tier-2 compared to some of the open vacancies. SC "might" be thinking he is the best of what is left after schools like USC and VTech grab theirs.


But I agree - i think it is an unlikely hire.

You clearly get it.  And USCe was paying their ex coach 4X what we pay CWT, not 2X

Yeah, but they surely won't give Taggart Spurrier coin.  So, I was guessing at 2X...but possible heavily laden with incentives.

the LOWEST salary in the SEC is $3.3 million.

99% sure he has no other offers.  90% sure he wants to stay at USF and get paid what he's worth as an AAC top coach
