Here's to hoping that the bowl game made Allen look bad and he stays here. Because, if they want him, they'll get him with that money that they are throwing around. How much were they paying Muskrat?

WKU had 428 total yards against LSU...they have a good offense. At least that's been said on the Auburn board I've read.

Allen would be a huge loss.

our defense had some bad games, but more often than not it was great. Allen's enthusiasm on the sidelines is contagious.

Don't forget that was also the team's first year in this scheme.  There was a learning curve and takes time for things to just come naturally rather than having to think about assignments.  With a couple of year of continuity in the system and just being able to react and be able to count on the other people knowing their assignments I think the difense can continue to get better.

I agree that losing Allen would be a big loss.

We're screwed... I'm betting he's gone.

Jay Jacobs is Auburn's AD.

[...]"Running this program's my responsibility," Jacobs said. "I knew, from my years of experience at Auburn and my years of experience as an AD, I was the right guy for it." A deeply devout Christian, Jacobs says he relied on his faith and his family for strength." [...]

If he's gone, he left the D much better than when he came in. That can't be said for the last several D-Coordinators we had.

I agree and disagree with that. Coming in and having the impact that he did make it better, but leaving after only a year diminishes what ever ground we gained because now our D will have to learn yet another playbook and learn from yet another coordinator. That's just my two cents though.

But if the AD is a Christian, there's no way he can offer Allen a giant raise and ask him to move from Tampa...unless he's just testing him!!!

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
