I am not convinced Flowers is the problem. He had a couple garbage passes that forced guys to the ground but he also hit receivers in the hands (including an easy 6). Bench isn't going to throw those passes any better and will be far less elusive.

If you aren't doing much this season why not develop the only QB that is going to be back next year (even if you as head coach aren't)?

Absolutely no reason to develop him when he won't be starting next year anyway.
This is the issue. You are assuming AW is the answer to all our problems. Like plenty of our prospects, he has a good arm but plenty of unanswered questions.

Pretty sure the few people that covered USF said it took five throws to see AW was a better QB that everyone else.

Doesn't matter who is throwing it when you have Bronson trying to play cornerback and Rodney "no hands" Adams.

Bronson was the MD MVP today.

I'll take that vs. indecision then a sack.

No, they said he looked better in practice. We already knew he had an arm. We've had plenty of workout warrior QBs over the past couple years that couldn't do it when the lights came on. Floyd looked great in practice from all reports. You saw hose that worked out.

After 1 series and 2 INTs I'm ready for Bench to go back to the bench

That one INT wasn't on him.

Hit Bronson in a bad place, his hands.

That wasn't a good throw. Hands yes, but behind the receiver AND high.

Dumpster fire is a good analogy right now. Maryland isn't a Top 10 team.

Flowers may not be able to get it done but I dont recall anyone saying how good he looked in camp - in fact, quite the opposite. But whatever.

The offense would move with bench. Who cares about INTs. We got beat by a QB that threw 3 today.

Correct.

We can run the same plays with bench plus he can throw.

Taggart will keep playing Flowers and will keep calling runs and passes in a 10 to 1 ratio
