every top program has guys getting suspended (generally for something stupid like smoking pot) for the first game or two

 

we don't need choir boys to win. big deal if they got a minor suspension for team rules.

 

check out the programs with the most arrests . they just happen to be most successful.

 

Urban Meyer has by far the most arrested players and he wins championships.

And as soon as the two of them start playing like All-Americans, CWT coaches like Meyer, and we win like Alabama, we can shrug at this type of thing.

shrug at a minor suspension over team rules??? they weren't beating their grandmothers.

 

odds are they got caught smoking pot.  big deal.

 

all major programs have a list of guys serving suspensions early in the year.usually for being arrested. hell they schedule cupcakes knowing that they will be missing key players early.

 

it's the cost of doing business. want a big time football program then expect to have big time football program problems. this is nothing.

LOL. It is funny how we haven't even played one down of CFB and people are calling him the coach in waiting...

Vincent jax has been converted to De. Black and Bullock are at Bull. None have been practicing at stinger or MLB.

Jimmy Bayes is going to take a strangle hold of that position.  He's one of those guys we'll see on Sundays.  He was the prize recruit in 2014.  That kid is a 6'3 230 lb athletic freak... the size of a LB and the speed and agility of a safety.  Oh... he can hit, too.  I thought he'd win the spot by midseason anyway, they just moved up the timetable.

OK... I don't know why anyone who knows this team would think we're thin at that position... Danny Thomas, Josh Black, Juwauan Brown, Nick Holeman... all had excellent springs and are had good fall camps.  Danny Thomas the true freshman was an early enrollee and had a good spring, he is going to play because he is too good to not play.  I'm not sure who's been following but that kid is really really good.  We have quality depth there even with these two guys gone.  This isn't the same roster we had in terms of depth.  These young guys are ready.  He recruited LB heaving in his first three classes and now we're seeing why.  This would have been huge last season... but this season we are set to absorb it.

I was thinking Thomas and Brown would likely back up Bayes. Black is playing "Bull" or whatever, the hybrid LB/DE spot, and Holman I took to be your stereotypical MLB type, so I'd see him backing up Sanchez before Bayes.
