I know a lot of you Bulls are out there in the doubt zone, waiting and wondering what's going to happen. Well, come back into the fold. This is the year! Hear me out! Okay, we all know what made things successful under Leavitt: Open offense. Easy stuff. Florida speed. Aggressive on defense. Play with intensity. Team cohesion. And slap them around a bit -I kid! I kid! What do we have now? Fast and strong athletes [X] Upgraded talent-level throughout the team [X] CWT is all about team cohesion [X] And then you add in the X-factors: Joe Kinnan: Offensive football wizard who's dedicating himself to this team. CWT & Hope are his from his coaching tree. Danny Hope: Former head coach who used the spread offense. Tom Allen: SEC guy who understands Florida athletes and speed. This is the YEAR! Do you know what we are missing? We could really use that approved waiver for Woulard to add another QB into the mix for insurance. This is going to be a fun year of USF football!

I think the change in coaches will help, (some may not like this comment) but I think that getting the nfl coaching core out and adding a new core that is more in tune with the young guys will help. I don't think our players have acclimated well to the collegiate style of play, and hopeful these guys will help smooth over that transition. That is not to say that we had bad coaches in the prior group, but sometimes old pros forget the nuance involved in getting newbies to where they need to be. Also, although I am not a Bench fan I believe that if our receivers can catch and know their route even he should be able to be serviceable in the new system. I also think that Coach Dugans will have these guys in better shape going into this season. I really thought he was going to have a bigger impact on our receiving core then he did initially.

USF.Cooper Posted August 2, 2015 Group: Member Topic Count: 0 Content Count: 10 Reputation: 1 Days Won: 0 Joined: 08/01/2015 Share Posted August 2, 2015 We have a beast RB in Mack, but I haven't seen anything out of the QB position. Who's going to make plays and find open guys, better yet, deliver them the ball? I'm not sure if Bench or Flowers are capable yet, that is scary. If one of them could step up or if we had a decent QB think how much better Mack would be. Mack is good even when the defenses stack the box, if the defense has to play back Mack could do some real damage. I really have no idea how we'll look this season yet, but if Bench and Flowers are the two QB options, I just don't have any confidence in this year. Just like Rays baseball, many changes occurred in the offseason, which tempered my expectations. The Rays started off decent, despite the injury bug, and then came the July from hell. Although the month of July sucked, they're still flirting with a .500 record. Not bad for losing Maddon, Friedman, and a slew of solid players. No matter what Coach T and staff does in the win/loss column, just give me some entertaining and exciting games and that will show a step in the right direction.
