Very sad.  I hope he pulls a full recovery.  I am not as concerned with him being in the hospital for two days.  When you have a professional athlete with a hand injury the doctors will want to take their time and not rush any treatment.

No way would he have been accepting any 60 million offers. What was that for, 3 years? That's not news. JPP could've blown his hand off and still probably decline that.

This, they can afford to take their time with him and get the experts involved.

True story.  My neighbor is a LT for the local Fire Department, EMS trained.  He went out on a call one time, lawn mower accident.  He gets on the scene and there are not one but two employees of a lawn service missing fingers.  It was time to trim the hedges at this house, and the hedge trimmer broke.  No problem, they figured.  Let's just lift the lawn mower...
