All right then, let them start doing better today.

Cincinnati game is 3 weeks from today and it's homecoming.  Make students secure their tickets this week and give them a tshirt or some other premium if they actually show up.  Send a substantial ticket offer to all alumni and staff that are not season ticket holders.  Package an early game Lightning ticket with a USF ticket sent to all Ticketmaster account holders that have purchased single game lightning tickets and/or USF tickets in the past.  Let's get Vinik's marketing guys (who I understand we are now paying) to step up.  All of these promotions should be for seats in the visitor side first level where available and the bottom of the second level and they don't have to be club access to not piss off donors.  Get creative to sell/distribute over 40,000 for the next game.  3 weeks is a lifetime to promote an event.  GO BULLS!

EDIT:  Give a free men's and women's basketball ticket for each single football ticket sold.  Just thinking out loud.

I like that you are looking for solutions.  But I chuckled when I read this. Like there is any demand for basketball at USF. Unless you are talking about a Univ of Kentucky men's ticket or a UConn WBB ticket.

Plus, USF already tried this years ago when Woolard was AD. People want to bash Woolard for whatever reasons but he did do good things at USF

We probably have better luck by offering free beer then by trying to give away tickets to a men's ball game. Might actually lose more fans by subjecting them to the men's team. The only way it could work for the women's team is to offer free tickets to the UCONN game with a few lucky fans getting court side seats to the game. The rest would be in the 100/200 sections until they fill up then the rest would go the 300 section.

Whatever.  I'm so disappointed in the marketing. It's been 3 days since we buried a conference opponent and will be ranked in the top 20 and I've seen or heard ZERO advertising for the next home game (though I haven't seen today's paper).  I've only seen and heard advertising for the Illinois and Temple games over the last 3 days which is awesome to promote buying tickets for games in the past.

Bourbon, I hope you'll consider your continued support of USF athletics, but I totally get your frustration.  If we start to lose supporters like you, it's pretty much over.

I'm not in Florida, but it seems they rely on social media more than anything, but don't have a tremendous following.  Makes you wonder if the people that work there understand our base, or lack of a large base, and are ignoring other ways of building buzz.  Possibly someone from another university building their resume.

Either that or we don't have the budget or trade resources to leverage paid media.   There are ways to market that can work and ways to gain earned media locally.  They seem to be failing at that.

Usf marketing should be pulling an all out blitz to promote this team. Should be using the local news outlets and social media not just relying on social media.

This,... it is an emergency. Now is the time to show that we are big time.

We are winning, and if we want the P5 to even consider us -- we need fans at the games.

I think we should have done a Hurricane Irma Relief Fund game. $15 single game tickets for the game which included one of those shirts they gave the students. We could have given $5 of the $15 to the relief fund.

How does that deal with Tampa Bay Entertainment Properties factor into all of this?
