MOSI possibly moving downtown? usf impact

There are so many hurdles to be cleared before this approaches reality...not the least of which is funding. USF, of course; but also MOSI would need some kind of large figure to relocate and rebrand to be appealing to tourists. For instance, isn't there already an IMAX downtown?....MOSI wouldn't have a monopoly on that particular revenue stream any longer. They'd have to upgrade and innovate to have broader appeal--totally doable, but I don't know if Vinik would just pony up for that or not.

Still, it's encouraging to read news like this, and it would be incredible to have an OCS on that site! I'll allow myself one micron of excitement.

Exciting times, thinking about expansion and renovation...and of course, an on-campus Publix. And since they're coming on campus, maybe that's one step closer to a stadium sponsorship--Publix Stadium/Field?
