Great news for the Green & Gold…..OCS is going there, mark it down……laugh,  say this say that, its going there……..we will have it within 10-12 yrs…..Its all part of the Harlan transformation plan. I don't have a "link" for you but if Mosi goes OCS comes!

Using Fowler Avenue only for the stadium would be a very major problem.  The other roads - 50th and 46th street - don't have any capacity to help on game days... both are residential streets south of Whiteway Drive... Moreover the pedestrian bridge from the elementary school is not large enough to accomodate game-day foot traffic....

Plus, that property is not officially part of campus... Hillsborough County owns the property, and would have to transfer it to USF.  The Board of County Commissioners could decide they want to do something else with the property - which they've done with other parcels. The new apartments on 40th street are on property the BOCC used to own (for example).

I am not saying you're wrong... just pointing out the challenges that have to be overcome... especially when it's a heck of a lot easier to build on existing land on the current campus... Fletcher and Fowler can both handle the traffic... and 50th can easily be widened by adding lanes on the west side of the road between Fletcher and Fowler.

Remember too, there is the elevated pedestrian overpass over Fowler connecting USF and MOSI. If someday a stadium was South of the Sun Dome, that overpass could be very useful during football season.

Useful as in we could have a hole cut in the side fencing of it over Fowler so infuriated fans could jump to end their misery after the team goes 2-10 again? I'm sure some forum members would make good use of this, probably a good sponsorship opportunity.

Not high enough. They'd just become someone's hood ornament, get shipped to Florida Hospital, and sit frozen in their body cast while the rest of the season plays out on the TV they can't control. :FIREdevil:

If I had the dough, I'd buy them out and build the off campus OCS.

Just annex the property and it becomes and on-campus OCS.

Here's what Louisville's Papa John's Stadium would look like on the MOSI site.

Hmm....  Me likey

All that space would make for some sweet tailgating. Need to make sure there's an RV lot with overnight camping too.
