We're 23-point dogs. No doubt it is closer than that.

Hoping for a straight-up win though!

Just starting to read this thread today and saw this.  Hmmmmm.  I'll take a push.

Ladies played their hearts out, and as someone already noted, we beat the Huskies in the second half. The only other team to do that was Stanford. Had we hit a few of our threes in the first half and played Mosqueda a little tighter, it might have gone the other way. Other than stanford, ONLY St. John's and ND played UConn closer than we did last night. No shame in this game.

Had an interesting thought after the game, though.

We will most likely get another shot at them in their home territory in the AAC tourney finals. Wouldn't it be sweet to get a 4th shot at them in the NCAA finals in OUR home territory!!!

So my question is: Have you ever heard of two teams playing TWO home-n-homes in the same year?

Was going to ask this.  That is something to be proud of.  Being in the building last night for the first 8 minutes was so much fun. The place, only half full, was rocking.  Just gives you some idea of what the atmosphere could be like for the men's team should they be able to put together a good season.

And props to our Marketing Dept.  Learned that, after checking with the NCAA, they invited women high school players from all over the area to help fill in seats in the student section since kids are on spring break.  Nice creativity.

If we play them 4 times, I would like our victory to come in the Final meeting of the year.

I'm still hoping to take both of the next two!!

Noticed a lot of teams in the crowd but it looked like the regular student section had strictly college students .... and actually looked pretty decent from what I'd heard about the wbb attendance.

Great energy at the dome last night... Uconn is unbelievable but we have a solid team, hopefully we can make a deep run in the tourney.

If there was a game we needed a 6th man, this was that game. Great support by the home crowd, and the team gave them a good show. Like the UConn poster said, last night I think we win against just about any other team that's NOT UConn. They earn their hype.

All depends on seeding for us. We can hang with most anybody but the 1 seeds. And I like our chances with virtually any of the 64.

At this point, does running through the conference tournament and having another [edit - quality] loss to highly seeded UCONN (perhaps by an even smaller margin this time [wishful thinking]) help the team's cause to get a better seed in the dance, or would only beating UCONN (or whomever if somehow UCONN was upset [not happening]) and winning the AAC help?
