Holtz sucked here. Glad he's not here anymore. Although the coach that succeeded him hasn't fared better to date, the right move was made.

That said, I wish Holtz all the best in the future.

Me too. Well said.

We may have fired HOLTZ too soon

In retrospect...

As bad as I thought Holtz was, I'm beginning to believe this might be the truth.

If we had kept Holtz we would have got that stud QB that went to ucla and probably would have made a bowl game this year.

Holtz' problem was he never made the necessary adjustments to his staff. No coincidence that no assistants from USF followed him to LA Tech.

You can't know that for sure

It was piss poor planning on Skips to leave cupboard bare.  However after watching Taggart for two years I no longer blame Holtz.  Good coaches work with what they have and make them better. George Oleary seems to get this.

OK, just a bit confused.  Hasn't he been there for 11 years?  I know UCFers are slow to graduate but I'm guessing everyone on the team are his recruits by now.

I guess Urban Meyer should suck everytime he goes somewhere new?

I hadn't thought of that. It certainly proves your point about GOL.
