I found it therapeutic to pen this Sunday in light of the NC ST game. I know the pessimism is rampant on this board, but in fairness to the program and Harlan, USF football has yet to really experience any lean years. Gutting the foundation of the last 15 games is not the answer to this rebuild. Here is my opinion as to what is. Go Bulls

Things are just bad around here right now....but we all stay...and we will be here when the times are good again.

It helps, bro.

I enjoyed the read & agree with your thoughts on the matter. I was always of the thought to wait until the team is doing better and seats are filled. After reading your article, I feel you have a very valid point. I agree with what you are saying. I remember going to the Auburn game and thoroughly enjoying the game experience there. I realize that Auburn has been in existence a lot longer than USF but that type of game time experience would be a great draw for players and students and alumni alike. I recall the fans lining the street waiting for "War Eagle" to drive by. That bird had a full police escort. It brought so much excitement! I am looking forward to those types of traditions in the future. We have had season tickets for over 14 years.

I think we are slowly getting there, and definitely need to exercise patience.

Here is to hoping USF does what they did when they opened the new Dome ( allowing those Donors/ season ticket holders) first option at picking their seats. Loved going into the new Dome to test drive seats before picking the seats I have.

If the only improvement we see is a handful of TDs more on offense scored than last year it's just really hard to expect fans to be understanding. I do agree that an OCS announcement would AT LEAST create some kind of excitement for our fan base. For those of us that go to every game and sit through the torture that has become USF football it would be something nice to look forward to and give us even more of a reason to continue attending the games (I'll be at every game no matter what, just saying). Wisconsin will obviously be tough, but with some gradual improvement we have a lot of teams left on the schedule that are beatable.

Let's just all hope we get through the troubled times and into brighter days where we compete with anyone. We kinda need to get back to the attitude of anyone anywhere like we had under Leavitt but with more discipline on the field.
