i think you all are putting way too much emphasis on what other conference members do. the AAC will never be respected like the P5. Houston could have won this game by 50 and it wouldn't matter. UConn could have beaten BYU and it wouldn't have mattered.

We just need to worry about who we are playing and win those games. We do that for 3 or 4 years straight and we can get somewhere if there is another conference shift. but let's not have a meltdown each time an AAC team loses and OOC game.

Well said

Being disappointed that our opponents lose to their opponents doesn't constitute a meltdown, IMO

I'm a firm believer in rooting for everyone we play in every game except the one we play them in.

The stronger our SOS, the better our W/L looks.

This is year four, and they are coached by Larry Coker.  You might remember him winning a national championship with Miami.  Miami thought they could do better.  Ha!

UTSA is only a giant killer. No one should be surprised they showed up to play. The surprise is that Houston didn't. O'Korn absolutely either lost his mind or got paid very well by some UTSA boosters. They should have had Cosh in there early in the 3rd.

Speaking of Cosh, are you sure he wasn't their defensive coordinator?

If the AAC has only 1 team perceived as good, it puts the conference on par with Mountain West. Conference alignment isn't happening and may not happen. I want to see conference mates besting OOC teams. It's the only way to get conference respect and most importantly in the current setup, consideration for schedule strength for the playoffs.

You mean the DC so highly sought after getting let go here that he appears to be currently unemployed?

That's the guy. Did you know Holtz signed him to a two-year contract when he came aboard?
