One thing I've noticed so far from reading Kentucky fans' reaction to Antigua and now (possibly) Strickland leaving has been nothing but class.

Most wishing him well, saying he deserves his chance and thanking for his time and services.

Met Coach Strick at the father/son camp last year. Awesome dude and his two sons are going to be ballers! Best of luck to him and Coach O!

Rod Strickland was one of my favorite NBA players of all time. Tim Hardaway was always number one for me growing up.  This is awesome news.  I am liking this hire more and more everyday. 

I was lucky enough to move to Atlanta during the era of the Human Highlight Reel.

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but that worked out pretty well for us with Vernon Hargreaves III, huh? 

 

Thinking about it, how long has Strickland been at UK?  I'm pretty sure Calipari has been watching those kids for some time, he will probably get first crack if they are good.

Nice. Rod Strickland brings his multiple DUIs to USF!

 

 

Forget whether or not he has degree...does he have a valid drivers license?  Looks like Strickland already has 4 DUIs...fittingly, next DUI will be a 'fifth'.  With USF's history of athletes having problems, and getting arrests, for driving without valid licenses..maybe USF athletic dept should have an associate AD for drivers license operations.  Do you need a license now to drive a moped in Florida?

 

 

I read that he beat one of those DUI's. 

 

The UK assistant and former NBA star has three previous DUI arrests, the most recent being a 2001 incident in Virginia. Strickland was convicted in 1998 for the same charge and completed a year probation and 30 hours of community service. In 1999, he was acquitted of charges relating to driving drunk in Washington.

Also, most of you are the pot calling the kettle black.  I have seen way too many people getting three sheets to the wind at USF football tailgates, and most of those people are still over the 0.08 limit when they leave.  Unless you have never consumed alcohol in your life or use a breathilizer before driving away from a USF football game, how about keep your funny comments to yourself.
