Don't think the coaching staff has anything to do with scheduling, its the AD and that department's job.

I believe you are mistaken.

I would agree.

Scheduling is the role of the AD, but I wouldn't say the coaching staff has nothing to do with it.

I am sure Coach K has influence over his schedule, he often schedules games in recruits home towns...a simple search:

 

Coach K: 'We won't schedule Maryland' - Washington Post

 

I know, I know, that's Coach K, not USF.

 

If CoachO can get a game with a program I am sure Harlan listens.  Why wouldn't we work those connections?

I think we all know Leavitt had influence too, as he was oft-ridiculed decision not to play USF more.

I am cherishing the energy and excitement surrounding our program right now. Lets hope this all pays dividends in a great recruiting class and ultimately wins on the court.
