Calipari is a scuzzball...I'm hoping his disciple is better.

But he's a phenomenal coach.

Tomorrow's news will be that he rejected the offer and will stay put

This guy and Rocc can potentially tear up the recruiting trail.

From his bio: "Known for his eye for talent on the recruiting trail, Antigua has helped UK pull in four straight top-ranked recruiting classes. In his initial season with the Wildcats, Antigua saw three of his recruits drafted in the first round of the 2010 NBA Draft. As a result, he was named one of Yahoo! Sports top 10 college basketball recruiters. In May of 2012, he was listed by ESPN.com as the top assistant coach in the country under the age of 40."

Not too hard to get talent to Kentucky, but getting the top rated class 4 years in a row is pretty impressive.

Now let's see if he can get some top 150 recruits here.

I like the hire.

Some of you guys are funny. Like Goldilocks, the experienced guys are too old, one of the top assistant's in the country, from one of the top programs in the country, but not good enough. Too bad we couldn't get Pitino or Coach K for about a Mill.

If USF hired Antigua, the Search was an Epic Fail!

Should have kept Heath for another year if we were going to hire this loser as Coach! Dude played for the friggin Globetrotters! What a circus and Mark Harlan is the ring leader!

High Risk, High Reward.   We either scored or we have been Holtzed again.

Well excuse me while I whip this out,

hire a top assistant from an established program. Collectively, we've made a mockery out of simply hiring a head MBB coach.  I think we can get a top assistant from a successful program (doesn't even have to be a P5) for around 750K and then we're actually saving money when CSH's payoff is included.  Tom Ostrom, Orlando Antigua, Dwayne Stephens, Mike Hopkins, Steve Wojciechowski, etc.  Let's just stop this nonsense and get on with it!  Anyone have any other recommendations?

I've got to get behind him per my post above.  I really wanted a splashy, current HC hire but the process made us go a different route to stop the bleeding.  Any assistant is going to be an unknown.  I think he is one of the better unknowns and if he can get the X's and O's down, we could end up having some nice seasons because we know he's a great recruiter.

P.S. They better not be paying this guy seven figures!!

On the AAC board, USF is getting laughed at. Why does this not surprise me.

Coaching search was a debacle from the beginning to the end!

Okay, now calm down, we still need the contract signed and the background check completed.

Let's see how you like Antigua in a year.
