Other then Young, nobody else on Kentucky can make FTs Just thinking we aren't going to expect an improvement in free throw shooting. Hopefully that is a Calipari thing and not an Antigua thing. LOL you are right. Coach Cal teams have been bad at FT shooting for years and has cost him big games before. Over the last 14 seasons as Head Coach at Memphis and Kentucky, Calipari's teams have only shoot better then 70% from the FT line 2 times. During that time frame, his teams average 66.5 FT%. I didn't get to his UMASS teams stats. Unfortunately that's sometimes the downfall of signing the best athletes in HS. Many of the higher rated players simply don't practice FT shooting as their physical skill set normally is good enough to overcome that opposing player or team. Look at the best athlete in the world today in Lebron James. FT shooting has always been the weakest part of his game, but his physical domination is so great he has gotten by and won without being a great FT shooter. James has worked hard to improve that flaw since he's been in the NBA and his shooting has come a long ways.

No way UK beats UL if the Cards make their FTs. The AAC ended up having the best winning percentage in tournament of all the Div 1 conferences. I saw the Patriots beat Oakland in the 'tuck rule' game at Michael Jordan's bar there and there wasn't an unbiased fan in the house. Place erupted when they won. Id imagine it was much the same last night.

The UCONN'ers were having fun. Sitting at Bradley Airport now, had a meeting in New Haven; what a dump town and Yale, from a cleanliness standpoint, was amazingly disappointing. There was even garbage all over the floors at the casino craps tables, was a bit shocked by that. Edited April 8, 2014 by Skingraft
