Per his La Tech bio, doesn't appear he was there long enough to have any real ties to this area: A native of Dunedin, Florida, White played high school basketball at Jesuit High School in New Orleans before signing at Ole Miss where he was a four-year starter at point guard for the Rebels in the late 1990s.

well apparently his wife (kira zschau) is from the area too:

Very nice catch ... you'd make a good stalker. "Happy wife, happy life" could certainly come into play here ... if she would like to get back to her roots a little.
