Didn't see anything on this and was curious to get your guys' opinions.

I like the idea/concept of Taggart being aggressive and doing whatever it takes etc but I think he chose the wrong time to do it. If we don't onside kick there, kick it deep, and force a punt that game is totally different over the final quarter or so. Up 23-21 in the 4th Quarter.

My big take away was of course Mike White just like everyone else, but that onside kick was questionable at best and I think played a big role in the outcome at the end.

I didn't agree with the call with that much time left in the game.

that's exactly why he did it. to catch them off guard. kloss said on film the guy would retreat before the kick. they thought it would be there. I applaud the risk.

terrible call if it worked I would be happy but still say a bad call.

Our D had some great stops, and we were within 1 score at that point.  Unnecessary.

and if it worked?

exactly.

the saints had a successful onside kick to start second half of super bowl and it's considered a genius call.

kloss said they saw something on film so they tried to exploit it. no problem with the call.

didn't like it at that point in the game.  We had the momentum.

The "What if It worked"   makes us sound like UCIf fans.  Don't like that either. :icon_drink:

It wasn't the smartest call. If it had worked, it would have been great. But it was an unnecessary risk...and it didn't work.

Kloss kicked too far down the ball.  For onside, you're supposed to kick the top of the ball to make it bounce better.  The kick rolled straight to the Houston player.
