Remember a couple defenders dropped some sure INTs/pick 6's. I am afraid we may have used up a lot of breaks in the last two games. I'm happy for the wins, don't get me wrong, but Louisville is at the opposite end of the spectrum from Cincy and UConn ... I hope Bobby can rise above his norm, and if he does and we win, I'll really be ecstatic (there's that word again). I think there were some sure INTs that were dropped by defenders. There was also a dropped TD pass, too.

We had no business beating them. They absolutely manhandled UConn 41-16 last week. I'm not saying UL wont turn the ball over and keep us in the game, but if they bring their A game, we're going to be in big trouble.

We managed to win games with Pat Julmiste. Julmiste was a much better runner than Eveld, but if we could win games with Julmiste being smart and not turning the ball over we can do the same with Eveld/Bench. Probably a little more with Bench. One bad game he had where the defensive backs were dropping his passes shouldn't count against him. He would be leading in opponent total yards and TD completions otherwise. Yeah, he takes too long to read and he runs like an oil-deprived robot, but when the kid has time he typically delivers very catchable passes. Unfortunately our WR's seem shocked when the ball's on target, so they don't help his rating either. Just saying it's not all on Bobby.

It seems like the receiving corp has completely given up on the idea of a catchable ball and is consistently ill-prepared when one comes their way.
