IMO it seems that some of you are getting your comeupance. You railed on UCF because they weren't in a BCS conference. You thought that UF, FSU, and UM should play us, because we were on their level. Yes, we attained #2, but we've never finished the season ranked, right wrong or indifferent, UCF has. IMO, based on our body of work and lack of history, we are where we belong (for now). We need to lick our wounds, come out fighting, and play anyone, anywhere!! Let the "beatings" commence in 3...2...1!

Now, now! Self delusion is what made this program great. 

But, you are right. I think - though it tastes really awful - this may be just the medicine we need.

About the only good thing I can say for 90% of the bowls anymore is it gives you extra practice time with the players.   Oh, and when we're in one, it give us one more shot to watch our Bulls play.

Not when Boise state wins 10 or more games a year. We'll get a bcs bowl 50% of the time if we're lucky.

Aye. We all understand that the AAC is step backwards.    Made a deal with the Mrs. a few years back. The next bowl game I attend will be with USF in a BCS(level...or whatever it's called today) bow

Ill be happy to go 6-6 this year( progress, non losing season and a return trip to a bowl game).  Anything better will be gravy.

 

Growing pains this year but the future ( immediate future) looks to be bright , not counting the conference affiliation.

I hold out hope that we will have a year beyond all of our expectations similar to Texas A&M's first year with Sumlin. New coaching staff, first year in the SEC, RS freshman QB and QB starter not determined until very late... but then Texas A&M suddenly turns around into some sort of machine almost, and has an amazing year because the QB and coaches were able to get it done. I think it's possible USF could have a similarly surprising success with our new staff and QB. Texas A&M had much better talent to begin with, but USF's competition is much less than what TAMU was facing, so it could work out to be a great season.

 

Wait and see but I think we do better than 6-6.

No kidding! The American invites Memphis and they still can't land their hometown bowl game, just sad!...I guess the new created mystery bowl will be the one with our champion vs who knows who.

Might as well sign a deal for 5 bowl games against the MWC, MAC, CUSA, SunBelt, and one against a 5-7 ACC team.
