I didn't see the game tonight but it's pretty hard to believe that you could criticize the AD for not canning a guy who coached the team to it's best season ever (and certainly in recent memory).

LOL .... I thought this was going to be a joke thread ... and I guess it is, in some regards.

And don't give me crap about how we made the dance last year.  This team is a joke this year.  I have NEVER seen a team with shooting this bad.  I think we could go to the outside courts and find guys that will shoot better.  At least drive the basket.

I have season tickets, and just cry game after game after Big East loss.

Trying to figure out why the board is so silent on Heath when they wanted to Kill Holtz for the same results.

You don't want to hear it, but we're not going to fire him this year.

Why?

Because he got us to the dance last year for the first time in 20 years, and got us our first two wins EVER.

He bought himself two years with that.

No sense talking about it this year. Unless he strikes a player, etc, he will ABSOLUTELY not be fired this year.

Let's revisit this topic next year.

Now, if you just want to talk about how bad he is (rather than when we'll fire him, as the title says), then that is a VERY appropriate thing to do.

We stunk up the dome so badly tonight, not sure if they'll ever be able to fumigate it enough.

He bought time with, in the previous 3 years, having 2 of the best in the history of the program, not just last year ...

Help is on the way next year -

John Egbunu - 6'10" - #7 C

Chris Perry - 6'8" - #23 PF

Dre'Kalo Clayton - 6'6" - #51 PF

Byron Zeigler - 6'6" - #22 SF

This. If this team still sucks this bad in 2 seasons, then fire him.

Stan has 2 of the best four years in USF men's basketball history. That is a fact.

with next years recruiting class if we are 1-9 then thats awful...

BUT lets be careful what we wish for. We won't be recruiting a coach into the old BE next time.

Dre'Kalo Clayton - 6'6" - #51 PF

Byron Zeigler - 6'6" - #22 SF

John Egbunu - 6'10" - #7 C - Good motor, athleticism, stamina. Physical specimen with upside. Raw offensive game that needs time and coaching to develop

Chris Perry - 6'8" - #23 PF - Big bodied late bloomer. takes up space and has potential to be a great rebounder. Average athlete that will need to learn to use his body and positioning to score on the low box. Probably more of a center's game then that of a power forward because he's not a great athlete and has not yet developed a game away from the basket.

Dre'Kalo Clayton - 6'6" - #51 PF - Bad torn Achilles injury has robbed him of his senior. He is undersize but becuase of his power and explosiveness off the floor he was a dominate low post scorer until the injury. Can he still have that athletic ability that made him the steal of the 2013 class? He will need to at his height.

Byron Zeigler - 6'6" - #22 SF - Very promising athlete that has the potential to be a tremdous college player. Can guard, rebound, dribble drive, use his left hand, and finish above the rim. His main weakness is he's not physically ready to do those things yet. Need weight and more strength.

Now USF MUST get Demetrius Henry who can be an impact immediately on the offensive side of the ball much more quicker then Egbunu and Perry. Henry is 6-9/ 6-10 and plays with his back to the basket as well as can step outside and shoot to ball. A good rebounder and defender as well. He can play effectively at any of the frontcourt positions. Would arguably be the most talented player on the team.

With Henry the team will have a lot of talent and I believe can over come Heath's poor game preparations and offensive coaching. Without Henry I would not be surprised to see a season only slightly better then this current one with related to next season's softer schedule.

So you're saying that last year's team had tons more talent than the one we'll have next year if we don't get Henry .... Funny, I don't really ever recall you raving that much about the talent back then.
