Look at all the coaching casulties already this season. http://college-footb...g-tracker-2012/ The list will get bigger and bigger. The longer we wait the longer we are putting ourself behind the 8 ball.

If this were any other Business and Skip were the CEO the shareholders would have already escorted him out of the Bld with his personal belongings. Stan has shown improvement, Skip has shown the opposite. Skips only fame to claim at USF is all the first time events under his watch, First 3 win season, first Back to back NO Bowl apperance since being in the BE. First OT Loss, the list goes on and on and it will be worse before better. If anyone thought Skip deserves another year, last week should had proven differently. Bobby Eveld lost a whole year (for 15 plays) when he was the #3 Qb on the depth chart until 2 weeks ago, No time outs before the half, 2 Fg's when down by 30 late in the game. Skip quit on the players and team, We need to quit on him Now.

Heck even the Bucs made Dungy walk out in the rain, when he had turned the team around into a winner.

They waited a year too long to get rid of McCullum. The administration should use that as an experience to fall back on.

But if it was up to the fans, Stan Heath would have been gone long before last season. Maybe we should use that as an experience to fall back on.

Prior to Heath's arrival, USF endured 4 consecutive losing seasons in basketball and was shifting into the Big East. It takes a while to turn things around. Most people did not like the revolving door of athletes in the basketball program but you can imagine it is not easy to convince players to come to a losing program on a promise.

This administration consider the challenges of turning around a losing program into consideration. (It is not easy to do especially when you are not a big time school)

NOTE: THE BIG EAST AT THE TIME WAS THE BEST BASKETBALL CONFERENCE IN THE NATION.

If this article is true which I think it is, USF will not be in good shape next year and we should all anticipate another losing season.

In my years of watching football when there is QB charge typically there is a strong running game or strong defense to cover the new QB. At this point USF will have neither next year,

To make matters worse if Cosh and Smith are fired then USF will be starting from scratch on defense.

THEREFORE.......

WHAT DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR WILL WANT TO COME TO USF KNOWING THEY ONLY HAVE MAYBE ONE YEAR TO TURN A DEFENSE AROUND? (and have a new starting QB to boot)

This is madness. This administration was quick to get rid of Robert McCullum when they saw the writing on the wall. I am not so sure what is different about Skip Holtz. (The only logic is to prove they were not wrong in their decision to hire him) Additionally with the changing tide of college football USF should be making the appropriate adjustments to better position not only the football program but the school as well.

IMO, they need to leak via anonymous sources what the game plan is for the future so they no longer appear to be incompetent regarding athletics.

This is such a **** storm.

Again, we could hire a DC as skips replacement. Tell him right up front what the deal is. And tell Skip the same thing, that this guy is here to replace you and that he's going to run HIS DEFENSE.

If you don't like the arrangement...

As you guys predicted I received a very short response from my rep (who seems like a good guy and is obviously in a tough spot). I could not agree with you guys more...the football program has been poorly run for a while now. Stan is doing the exact opposite with the basketball team (he is accountable when they lose, he has his players contact donors to thank them, he recruits and is passionate about what he does)....is he perfect..no...is he doing a great job compared to football..considering the state of affairs each coach walked into it is amazing.

I am actually ok with Woolard staying, I understand extending Skip at the time even though it obviously backfired.

Stan's situation was much tougher. There was a culture of losing with no NCAA tournament berths since 1992. Many losing seasons. Skippy waltzed in to take over a decent (note to the malcontents: I did not say great or even good) program which had been to a bowl every year since joining the Big East. Skip sucks and needs to be fired pronto. Heath is okay by me.
