There was one more game to be played in Tampa and they didn't want it. USF chose not to sign a new contract to extend the series. We fufilled our commitment to the series. I don't believe they ever cancelled a game against us.

It looks like C-USA cancelled the last game: Bulls Series With UCF Likely Over By BRETT MCMURPHY, THE TAMPA TRIBUNE | Tbo.com Published: July 07, 2007 TAMPA - Conference USA commissioner Britton Banowsky said it is 'doubtful' he will require the University of South Florida to play a C-USA team in 2009, meaning USF's series against Central Florida likely will end after the 2008 game. As part of USF's exit agreement from C-USA in 2004, the Bulls were required to play at least one football game against a C-USA school for five seasons, until 2009. USF and UCF played the past two seasons, with the Bulls to host the Knights Oct. 13 at Raymond James Stadium and to visit UCF in 2008. 'Although we are two years away, it is doubtful we would require a one-game series that wouldn't be returned,' Banowsky said. http://www2.tbo.com/sports/sports/2007/jul/07/sp-bulls-series-with-ucf-likely-over-ar-182694/

I get we wanted a "neutral site" game with even splits on ticket/citrus bowl revenue but UCF needed a 6th home game for their sponsor and merchant obligations. Why can't we play at their OCS so it's a home game for their contractural obligations, but they give us 15,000 seats to sell that we keep the revenue for. Then it's a $500K payday for us and our fans are in 1/3 of the seats. Like it or not, we're conference partners now and we need to work together on the best solutions for both schools. I thought we were progressing. On the national scale who really cares about this game? I could care less. It's a battle of Mediocrity. I've made my last trip to Orlando. USF, please give me a reason to hold on to my season tickets after all these years. Honestly, I'm totally disappointed after these last two seasons.
