Nearly $20 mill a year will catch up to you, no matter how much money your alums have.

LOVE IT!Tons and tons and tons of potential. UCF, UH, and SMU have unlimited potential with a BCS label.10 years from now, this conference could be a power house. And if Boise falls off a cliff, we kick them out. But in the mean time, I am pretty excited about watching our Bulls play on the Smurf Turf on national TV. Considering all the doom and gloom scenarios out there. This is about as good as we could have come out of this thing. IMOI agree with this sentiment and am really hoping to see SMU + Houston. Bringing in Air Force + Navy, SMU + Houston, and UCF to pair with USF would make for some up start rivalries from the get go. And you would have the Texas and Florida TV and recruiting markets. Good insight on the possibility from someone on here about only adding 4 for 2012 resulting in a 12 team conference until Pitt and Cuse exit, then adding two later to replace them.My fear is that this new Big East might last for a short time before teams are again cherry picked by the BigXII and ACC in another year or two. It seems a compromise, with Temple as FBall only to replace one of those 3 might get the BBall schools to vote? Which gets off the list?

If they plan for 17, then they know someone's leaving, to be replaced by a FBall-only or Nova moving up to IA.

Playing those teams in conference every year, and then one or two from the other division, would be great. All of those teams are appealing. I think the satisfaction on this board would drop dramatically.

After that they will have a vote not to raise exit fees again. A closely divided vote will once again not decide to fire Tater Head. And finally they will all unanimously vote to end the conference call about making plans.
