SMazza, what are your sources on West Coast saying about USF's landing spot?

I want to hear your thoughts on this!

Seeing articles pop up about at BE/B12 merger.  Decent news for now.

Best we can hope for other than a USF to the ACC article... and I don't think that's coming anytime soon with this leaked.

Let the Big 12/East haters start saying we're not AQ material...

If it does go down like that, they can moan all they want, realistically a merger might give a better football conference than the new ACC16......

West:  Kansas, Kansas St, Missouri, Iowa St, Boise St (#4), BYU/Air Force/Co State

East:  TCU (#20), Baylor (#17), USF (#18), Louisville, Cincy, WVU (#16)

Well that is absolute best case scenario. Missouri and WVU together are unlikely as one is probably in the SEC, but I'd be very pleased if we somehow escaped this round expansion with this conference

I still firmly believe that BSU should have to get a green field to be admitted however. The blue field is bush league, an unfair advantage, and makes them look mid-major. That field has to go, and i really hope the other 11 schools involved in this conference would stand firm on that.

UT Board of Regents do NOT give UT President authorization to change conferences. Wow.

Yet ESPN indicates UT President has been given authority to change conferences.

Rumor on Mizzou board is that WVU's application was rejected by SEC. I can't judge the accuracy of it (gswaim tweet, they say).

Not only did WVU fight against the South, they became their own separate state.

My SEC friends say that is why they should not be in SEC.

In my opinion, Judy and Doug should fax blast USF applications to the ACC, SEC, Big 10 and Pac 12.

Hopefully, one of those will be so surprised they will accept us. It only takes one hot chick to say YES.

I can't imagine why the SEC would reject West Virginia.

So, uh, yeah. Someone at West Virginia’s season-opening game against Marshall wore a shirt that said “West F—ing Virginiaâ€...In light of the incident, WVU athletic director Oliver Luck has sent out a letter asking that all fans who attend the Mountaineers’ next home game against LSU be on their best behavior.

Ok, maybe I can think of a reason or two...

If WVU was indeed turned down, I would be very worried for LSU this weekend...

Perhaps the SEC and B10 still poach the living daylights out of the ACC -- that would be hilarious:  "So you thought you were one of the Big Dogs, did you?"
