So is diving in basketball.

Soccer score is too low. I find I hard to say one team really better than another when 90% of games are decide by a single goal, most of which are some random corner kick. Then you have refs giving free kicks for nothing and turning the game.

True Story...

 

Last Friday I was at Brass Tap with some buddies, the place was full, they had live music, and then the Brazil game came on over the loud speakers... the band stopped playing and left, and everyone but 3 people left and went down to the next bar.

 

Soccer sucks.

True story, I was at Hattrick's and it was standing room only for two hours. The Brass Tap is Friday's with more selection, what did you expect? People go to sports bars to watch sports.

Heard the Rowdies game Sunday night featured some classy Orlando City supporters charging into the Rowdies supporters section and trying to start stuff, bunch of them got ejected, and heard there may have been a 12/13 year old boy getting punched. I guess the lucky few who manage to graduate UCF take their terrible sportsmanship over to the local semi-pro soon to be pro team. MLS will curb their crappy fan ways realllll quick.

Heard the Rowdies game Sunday night featured some classy Orlando City supporters charging into the Rowdies supporters section and trying to start stuff, bunch of them got ejected, and heard there may have been a 12/13 year old boy getting punched. Let's get real.  When Orlando came to town, Rowdies fans were all uppity and looking down upon Orlando.  Orlando had an attitude.  When they finally played, it quickly became apparent that Orlando was the better club.  This got Rowdie fans all bent out of shape, and Orlando fans became arrogant.  Rowdie fans are now little brother with a chip on their shoulder.

 

Let's also realize that there are 100 plus rabid, core Orlando fans that will engage the opposing team.  ANd there are about 50 or so Rowdie fans that will do the same.  There have been several games over the last two and a half years.  Common sense will tell you that whoever was involved in this kerfuffle has been going back and forth with the same knuckleheads on the Rowdies side for years.  If and Orlando City fan did something, you can bet that Rowdies fan was not an innocent bystander.  It probably started two years ago and they've been going back and forth.  There were probably skirmishes in the parking lot before the game.  And everyone involved on both sides was drunk.

 

So let's not blame this stupidity on Orlando.  The GM's car didn't have his tires flattened.  This was personal between two fans on opposite sides.
