But wait.....Pitt has issues with PPL Park. Thinks it's too small.

Another installment of "As the Big East Turns".

maybe David Beckham can do the coin flip in front of  a raucous crowd w/ vuvuzelas for a Thursday night game

Make fun all you want but PPL Park looks a helluvalot nicer than BHNFP ...

ppl-park.jpg

yeah for soccer, most college football fans would rather experience a gameday on a college campus over a soccer stadium parking lot or train station 20+ miles from that school's campus

It LOOKS a helluvalot nicer no matter what's played there ... and I'm betting they had water fountains from the get go.

water fountains can be fixed but you can't fix the apathy for college football in NE cities like Philly, especially w/ small private schools w/ small enrollments and limited long term fanbase growth ;D

Myabe the third time's the charm for our reading challenged squatter ... All my initial observation was is that it LOOKS a helluvalot nicer than The Tramp.

Wow they pay this woman a salary?  She basically regurgitated already known information over the past 6 months.  AND the only reason she had to do that was because of the baseless drivel she fed the Orlando Area weeks ago with the notion that UCF was going in, or at least on the brink of an invite or consideration.

Sad, she had to literally provide a report to explain around her previous erroneous report that had zero fact.  Most people get fired for lying and general incompetence on the job.   :o  I wonder when they're going to provide the report that retracts their drivel about USF's 'blocking' of UCF.  I can see that report coming out in a few weeks, and it will sound something like this, 'USF didn't actually block UCiF since UCiF wasn't even being considered, BUT IF they were then USF would definitely try to block them.  The Houston President, a former USF provost was quoted as saying 'Judy Genshaft is not a fan.' ::) ::) ::)

After that Bianchi will let another Bianchi and blog about USF is chicken for not FORCING ALL THE BIG EAST PREZ's to take UCF.  Yeah, he has Bianchi's like that all the time, where he loses all sensibility.  Welcome to the Orlando Slantinel where news is what they make of it.

3 things Smazza.....you are aware that the BE has universally been assumed to be either the 6th or 7th best conference.

We did invite TCU....the #2 ranked team in the country....took them away from the MWC which was also thought to be either the 6th or 7th best conference.

You are aware that there are only 11 FBS conferences right? All but one conference would be in the bottom 10. I'll say the SEC is #1 so by your definition....the Big 10 is also a Bottom 10 conference.

The BE was #6 going in,  and will be #6 coming out of expansion.

You're basing this off of what exactly?

The ACC and the Big East have usually been ranked 5/6, with the ACC being 6 more than the Big East.
