Maine and CMU are both doing well in their respective conferences... I wonder what happens if they both win their tournaments to get the AQ.

Could they get into the top 160 ??

Let’s not overlook Tulane, too. They are quite capable. They have some bad losses but they beat Memphis, lost to FAU by 1, SMU and Charlotte by 4.

If they do that, I don't think it would matter where they were ranked. The Committee would take notice of that I would think ...

I think if we win out in the regular season we are in, as long as if we lose in the American athletic tournament it’s a decent team like, SMU, Memphis, Fau, Charlotte, etc..

Lol CAAR already racked up $50,000 in performance bonuses. Who ever would have thought USF's basketball coach would be cashing bonuses with 3 games to go in the regular season with the potential of cashing every single one remaining?

I don't think who we lost to in the tourney would matter as much as who wins the tourney instead of us.  FAU is in no matter what save for a total collapse and I don't know if the aac gets 3 teams in so if someone else steals that auto-bid then that could mean trouble for us.

Just win the tourney

Lunardi's latest bracketology has us up to a #11 seed. This draw would actually be a dream scenario and why we don't want to get an 8 or 9 seed. The Sweet 16 and even the Elite 8 would be a real possibility. I just don't see how USF could stop a team like UCONN with Clingan or Purdue with Edey, so we definitely want to avoid them.

I think this is sad but true.  The good news is we finally have a team that I feel confident can beat anyone in the conference.

His 5-figure bonus will be nothing compared to the extension and pay raise he's earning.

He deserves a big fat raise, and an extension. Make him the highest paid basketball coach in USF history.
