May watch the replay tomorrow morning and FF thru Memphis possessions.

The game itself was pretty entertaining in my opinion. Lots of drama and tons of offense. Bad final result, of course, but it was a roller coaster game in a roller coaster year.... Maybe we should be sponsored by Busch Gardens. 🙂

Still thinking 6 or 7 wins is realistic for us this season. 🤘

Whole defense is bad. Can't get any push with the front four. Lb can't cover TE. CB and safeties get burned on huge plays constantly. We don't get home on blitzes ever which usually leads to the big gash plays

We are 5th in the nation in tfls and got 2 sacks. We also held them to 139 rushing. The defensive line is ok, the secondary is bad.

Brown played great. HE was the whole offense. The defense, running backs, and game plan the second half let us down.

Maybe but we did hang with them the second half. Same problem we've had for 5+ years.... we have no defense.

I'm proud of how the team played today though! They should hold their heads high. Almost beat the best team in this conference.

WE played better than expected, but not good enough to win. The secondary is a major issue and we need to hit the portal and recruiting trail hard back there. I don't understand why we keep running a scheme that puts 5 defensive backs out there every play.

Memphis is a top 40 or so team.

Let's not get too down.

Next step is to beat Temple at home next week.

Outscored them after the first 4 minutes. Two drives in the second half in their territory that led to no points was the difference. That INT was huge and a big mistake. Although I agree with CAG that it was interference.

Still, as was mentioned, very entertaining and scrappy to come back and take the lead when we easily could have folded.

It really to me as someone that watched most of the game that was a team loss. Both offense and defense at crunch time in 4th did terrible especially the offense when defense actually made some stops.

OC had some really bad play calls late and Brown that int was big mistake.

Worried now after this loss team comes out flat vs a semi decent Temple team.

You don’t get all day to throw and call our pass rush good. This is madness

We've talked about getting back to being the toughest, most violent people out there. Let's be the best version of ourselves and really get back to the culture of how we (USF) used to step across the line and play anybody. Let's hold on to the culture of when they were tough … and they (opponents) knew it was going to be long damn day for themselves.

“In my mind, I’m kind of like, ‘OK, excuses over'. We know what we need to do. We’ve got the right team together, and now we move forward, and we’ll evaluate and be accountable to each other, including myself, from this point forward.”
