Year 2 Coach Leavitt perhaps or even years later. Year 1 CJL finished 5-6. Give CAG a year to measure him enough to say someone else would have done this or that. Your romanticized memory of CJL is his entire career and the intensity and wins he had all packaged into 1 encapsulated idea. But you can't put year 1 CJL in this spot and say he wouldn't have lost. CJL lost 57 games as head coach, he and his teams that beat Auburn, FSU, WV, etc aren't the same as year 1 coach or year 1 team.

Also remember this was the WORST DEFENSE IN CFB last year.  They were 3 - 3 at the half and one score away in the 4th against the giant.

That's a very Leavitt kind of game.

There are victories beyond moral victories? That being said he is dead wrong, todays loss is better than last weeks nail biter victory, competition matters and that’s why they is no such thing as an aac victory (to play the games is to have lost). I regret having not gone to the game today and there is absolutely nothing that can happen against an aac team that would make me feel that way.

This is going to be an unpopular opinion but who the **** cares about what CJL would have done. Why does everyone compare siccess to CJL? Yall roast this team and talk **** and are good with the results we got with CJL? GTFO. It's ime to move on, win a CC and talk about CJL when we honor him with a statue or something. Not compare a coach three games in.
