The only report I saw was not great for the offense. Apparently there were 14 drives in total and the offense failed to score on the first 9 drives. Hopefully, this is just an indication that it takes the offense a little longer to click than the defense and not an indication that the talent on the offensive side of the football has dramatically decreased.

Back in the days when we were a great football team, this was almost always the case at practice/scrimmages/spring games, etc.  Hopefully an indication that our defense no longer blows.

He said that was part of the problem, but because it's totally different than anything most had played under, not being too fast, and it was going to take time ...... should be fun to watch but just hope they get acclimated to it by conf play.

Did you talk to the same guy I did?

CAG mentioned it on his presser, about the offense being behind, because it's something totally new to most of them ... basically the 2 minute offense run the whole gam.

There have been 3 weight updates on the roster. True Freshman Stantavious Smith went from 260-280. Bernard Gooden went from 273 to 265. From the eye test in recent photos, Cheney looks to be in the 290s now and Rico Watson is at least in his 240s or 250s. So there are other updates that need to be made. The biggest difference of CAG from al others is that he targeted immediate size.

Doug Blue Eli DL 6-2 320
Jhalin Hobbs DL 6-2 308
Jacquez Williams DL 6-2 300
Immanuel Hickman DE 6-3 296
De'Juan Sease DT 6-2 287
Rashad Cheney DL 6-2 285
Stantavious Smith DT 6-1 280
Danny Gonzalez DT 6-1 270
Bernard Gooden DL 6-1 265
Keeon Terrell DE 6-3 260
Michael Williams II DE 6-3 256
Chad Elder DE 6-3 252
Tramel Logan DE 6-4 247
Jonathan Ross DE 6-3 246
Terrence Edmonds DT 6-5 244
Lloyd Summerall DE 6-5 242
D.J. Harris DE 6-2 240
Rico Watson DL 6-0 236

At RB we should have no problems getting a first down or getting more than 3 yds on 1st down. We pretty much have fie 200Ib+ running backs.

Kenny Walker RB 6-0 220
Dominic Gonnella RB 5-11 211
K'Wan Powell RB 5-9 205
Nay'Quan Wright RB 5-9 204
Jaylen Johnson RB 5-9 197
Michel Dukes RB 5-10 194
Yasias Young RB 5-9 187
Kelley Joiner RB 5-9 184

Our o-line should be one of the better ones. We definitely can match up in size with any defensive line.

Drew Perez OL 6-8 354
Donovan Jennings OL 6-5 333
RJ Perry OL 6-6 330
Zach Perkins OL 6-5 328
Cole Skinner OL 6-5 326
Andrew Kilfoyl OL 6-5 320
Zane Herring OL 6-5 319
Deonte Bowie OL 6-4 319
Mike Lofton OL 6-2 315
Gannon Lanning OL 6-7 310
Kody Black OL 6-4 305
Derrell Bailey OL 6-6 305
Cole Best OL 6-4 305
Nikola Milovac OL 6-6 303
Gabriel Hahn OL 6-6 294
Caysun Kinghorn OL 6-4 292
Derek Bowman OL 6-5 287
James Jenkins OL 6-5 285
Ryan Warren OL 6-3 285
Drew Cornelius OL 6-5 284

Seeing them live, there seemed to be a noticeable bulk difference in the interior going from the 1's to the 2/3's ........ to me anyway.

They're trying to get offensive plays off at a clip of one per 10-15 seconds, I heard in a podcast. Golesh said we're not operating at the level we need to right now. We play a game in 2 weeks and it does count.
