I was going to wait until spring camp started, but f-it, let’s roll. I did this last year as a place for those to simply discuss our current team and use this thread as a place to drop off any content not big enough to have its own thread. That includes tweets, photos and/or any fluff pieces. I will try to keep this spreadsheet updated as often as I can. Also please do not look too hard in where I placed the players. I’m not really going hard on predicting any line ups.  Also, I am not sure about the 3-3-5 defense, so I took what I found from the FAU “ourlads” website. Feel free to let me know if I missed anybody. Anyways, here's to 2023....Go Bulls! :04-rock:

Don’t think our DLine is built to run a 3-4 defense as it currently stands.

I'm worried about the same thing. I prefer the 4-3, but I hate that we used 3 DEs last year rather than 2 DTs and 2 DEs.

My concern is the front three. I think we have good athletes that can play the edge/LB part. But our lack of big bodies that can handle two OL is not there. We really lack the big Nose Tackle guy that can plug up the middle and take two linemen attention

I look at TCU’s front three.

At Nose Tackle they have three guys: all are 6’2 315+

At One End they have they three guys: 6’4 260,275,290

At other End they have three guys: 6’2-6’5  280,290,271

We have 4 DT's in the 290 range.  These guys can't be beefed up 10 pounds in the off season with a good nutrition and workout plan?

4 solid 300 pound DT's is plenty in your rotation.  Obviously, you'd like more, but you can live with 4, if all are good players.

Hobbs and Williams have potential  to be some  big boys. Thank you for doing this. Hopefully get to add some more talent before the spring game.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
