Wow.

Watching CAG's NSD presser.

He is not holding back about what he was left with and what he went after!

Threw out "borderline criminal" and "negligent" to describe things.

Did you also hear, "I think we're going to be better than we think we are..." and he seemed to hint that there are guys on the team that maybe should've gotten more playing time, I think, on the defensive side of the ball. Or maybe he was talking about the guys that are still here.

I found the NSD interview very interesting.  Not the typical coach speak.  I did find the "borderline criminal" and "negligence" comments interesting, though not surprising.  The 14 scholarship safeties comment I found shocking.  How could that happen?  I will say that I love the words that are coming out of CAG's mouth - of course none of that matters if it doesn't translate to W's.

I was in and out by that point, but defense is where we struggled most.  Several close games, and defense is what makes the difference there.  Several times they said 130th in defense.

Yes.  7 Scholarship lineman I think got the borderline criminal and the 14 safeties got the negligence.  or vice versa.  Either way, I think it reveals a lot.
I agree, I like what I hear, straight forward, not a lot of coach speak.  Want to see if any of it translates to W's.

That falls on who hired him. If they didn’t ask the right questions to understand total understanding of coaching thoughts and strategies they failed. Which is exactly what happened.

Just goes to show you what a completely incompetent regime we had running things the past three seasons..........although I think deep down we all knew how incompetent they were  that after the Tulane loss in 2021.

Haha he actually has a pretty good sense of humor.

"We're gonna have a player intersquad softball game by class, and then the winning class plays the coaching staff. After the coaching staff wins, then we're gonna get started with winter workouts and..."

Said it nonchalantly and didn't even pause to acknowledge the joke, and it seems like the press missed it.

Pretty intelligent guy.

Breath of fresh air from xCJS's overbearing southern hospitality demeanor.

I definitely like what I have seen and heard from Golesh so far.  I am also intrigued by the QB and WR from California.  From what i have read the WR may even be a step up from Jimmy Horn.  Looking forward to seeing them in action.

That’s how I interpreted it. Although it likely wasnt meant to be a shot at Kelly (as it’s generally not a good idea to make your boss look bad), that is where the buck stops.

I thought all the instructions were supposed to be in the Dabo notebook.

"There is no inherent fear among this group of players. The fear of failing drove the program from day one - the fear of failing the coaches, the fan base, the university, each teammate, themselves. Now, as we head into the biggest game in our history at home on a national stage against the highest ranked team to step on OUR field, the players are taking an introspective look at themselves. Unfortunately, I don't know if they get it. They lack the fear."
